Durr-e-Sameen

This is the first of a series of reflections on subjects that are related—directly or indirectly—to Durr-e-Sameen, the compiled verses of rhyme by the Promised Messiah, and to whose service this website is dedicated. In this reflection, we will take up the fundamental question, Why did I choose Durr-e-Sameen as the name for this website?

The time was ripe for the Promised Messiah and for no other;
If I had not come, somebody else would have come as the
Promised Messiah.

Ever heard the phrase “casting pearls before swine?” (If you say that someone is casting pearls before swine, you mean that they are wasting their time by offering something that is helpful or valuable to someone who does not appreciate or understand it.) If you did, you have come within striking distance of the heart of this reflection.

Today my people have not recognized my status;

A day will come when they will remember in tears the happy
time (for Islam) that came with me

The eminence and glory of Ahmad (the Holy Prophet) are
above comprehension and conjecture;
Don't you see that his ghulam (slave) is the Messiah of the
Age?
